Hull
The hull is the hardest part to built on a sailboat.
Depending on the wood you use this task will take you from 2 or 3 nights (if you use balsa wood and ciano glue) to 3 or 4 months (if you use a hard wood and white wood glue )
But one thing is for sure, it will give a hell of a joy to see it finished.
The first time you try to plank a hull, unless you have some experience on wood working, will be a difficult task...
Everything must be aligned, all the planks must be well cut so they fit correctly on the curvature but, after a couple of planks you´ll start doing it without any problems... |
