Fittings

Fittings are among the most expensive parts on a IOM Sailboat.

This happens because most of the good quality fittings are handmade. More recently with the advent of diy CNC mills the fittings costs has decreased and the variety of the designs has greatly increased.

But we don´t need a cnc machine to make our own fittings, take a look at the tips on the right and you´ll understand why.

The only parts made outside my shop were the pulleys, but even those could be easily replaced bu old tape deck pulleys :)

You see, you can buy fittings if you´r really going to use your boat on a regatta, but if you´r only an enthusiast like me you can make them and they will work just fine
